Megan Metheney’s original composition Elles is for piano and lever or pedal harp, or for two lever or pedal harps. This ethereal piece uses many sustained notes to create a soothing atmosphere.
Megan Metheney’s Mon Souffle (“My Breath”) is for lever or pedal harp and cello. The percussive parts of this piece imbue the music with a soft yet driving energy and also require a bit of coordination! This piece made its world debut at the American Harp Society Conference, South Dakota, June 2022.
Driving 16th notes with accents in the RH harp, LH whole notes depict making a road through the desert.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I’m making a road through the desert.”

This piece was written on a lap harp for my beautiful friend Anana. Zest is the name of her boat, but she herself also emanates a zest for life: she savors positive events and sensory experiences, not letting them breeze past her. I hope this piece captures her and her inspiring zest.

Great harp I needed a harp that was easy on my hands. Other Dusty models had a rich sound that I loved, but my hands hurt after playing for a while. The Serrana sounds fantastic amplified, and is easy for this senior to transport to gigs.
