A classical piece with six variations based on an Irish air. This is an advanced lever harp solo in the key of D, eight pages in length. The left hand is busy and challenging. A great recital piece! INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED, ALL HARPS. 

L'Horloge du Grand-pere by Frédéric Chopin (Chopin's Grandfather's Clock)

This is a "mashup" of Chopin's lovely etude in E, op. 10 #3, and the sentimental old song "My Grandfather's Clock." It's a musical joke, and also quite lovely. The original key is E - this version in the key of F for lever harp, playable on all harps. 3 pages, main theme. 1 lever change.

Revised 2011, this version contains Bolero, Españoleta, Jota and Seguidilla. The Bolero and Jota are representative of Spanish dance rhythms. The Españoleta is more of a fantasia based on a renaissance dance. The Bolero is not difficult, but the Espanoleta and Jota each present challenges and require precise lever work. Seguidilla is slightly less challenging and can be substituted for the Jota

Two melodies, one is unidentified, the other known as “Mo Li Wa,” and familiar to those who know Puccini's opera “Turandot”, comprising a medley in C (no levers required), with several measured glissandi. 3 pages. Lower intermediate level.

Reverie and Farewell composed for lever harp. Mitch wrote Farewell in August of 2000 in memory of Joy MacCarthy, a harper in the San Francisco Bay area. It is an absolutely gorgeous, inspired piece of music in 4/4, key of G without accidentals, ranging to low D, two pages. Advanced solo with eight variations. Key of F with lever changes and a busy left hand. Very impressive solo, good for teachers of advanced lever harp students.  ADVANCED, ALL HARPS.

Key of Em, 6/8 time.  Left hand has a moving line of consistent 8th notes, right hand goes back and forth with eighths, quarters, and toward the end, 16ths like snowfall.  Beautiful piece!
