Själens Tröst means 'Consolation for the Soul'.

The piece emerged from an improvisation and is ultimately understood as an improvisation template, in which it is shown how one can create a variety of variants from a few basic chord patterns by allowing individual fingers to deviate from the chord tones.

In addition to the exact transcription of this improvisation, the booklet also contains detailed instructions for playing and improvisation with ideas for simplification, an overview of the chord progressions used and two examples of the basic structures that form the starting point for this improvisation.

The range of the original refers to a harp with 34 strings, the lowest note of which is C. But you can also play the piece on smaller harps by narrowing the bass hand to the triad fingering (instead of the fifth-fourth fingering) if you have understood the basic idea.
