Circle songs for one and two harps.

Circle songs are songs that could be a theme repeated endlessly. Circle these songs are always made with matching A and B share. A harp starts with the A-part and one in the B section. Then it repeats itself as a Canon, Harp 2 Harp to the beginning as a harp at B arrives. The first two compositions, there is an end (C). For all other pieces repeats itself all the time.

Greek dances - Part 2. Part 1 can be found in Harpe Mundi 15: Frangosyriani. Some of these pieces would be expected to be for pedal harp, but Christoph has adjusted them so they can be played on the lever harp. However, you will have to work wit those levers a lot! In order to let the bass come out strongly enough, you need to use a good damping technique.

Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738)

Ballads and dance music from Brittany.

Calm Celtic music from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Galicia. In this book from the Harpa Mundi series the playing technique is expanded with transferring the hand in the melody part. The accompaniments are very simple, using only simple chords, fifths and thirds. The bass are still very easy to give the melody hand as much attention as possible. Usable in the first and second harp class year. 15

Lesser-known melodies of O'Carolan. Yet these pieces certainly are worth playing and being listened to. Most pieces of O'Carolan are quite short, but  'Fairy Queen', a five-part variation suite, is a bit longer. 16 Pages.

Popular Christmas songs from Germany for one or two harps, supplemented with some famous English Christmas carols. The melodies are easily arranged so that they can be played in the first year. The second voice is a little more difficult. The second voices are a nice addition to the first voice and are also fun to perform with vocal or a melody instrument. New Circle Songs for one or two harps. There are cheerful ragtimes. But also a piece in which a chord makes a melody with an accompliment that makes another melody that form a new unit together, removing the boundary between melody and accompaniment. These compositions by Turlough O'Carolan of (1670 - 1738) clearly demonstrate his love of virtuosic Italian Baroque music. A nice combination of Celtic harp music with Italian lightness and joy. The level is average, and intended for the third year. The melody hand has much to do. The accompaniments  may be simplified by using the chord symbols. 15 pages.
