De Notenkraker suite - Harp 1 en 2 - Peter Tchaikowsky
One of the most fantastic works ever written: The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky! Even though you have heard the Sugar Fairy or the Toy March hundreds of times, it still doesn't bore you. Because as magical as the fairy tale is, the music is so enchantingly beautiful.
The Nutcracker is a musical performance for large harp ensemble and storyteller.
The book contains all seven pieces of Tchaikovsky's original suite and has been arranged for three different levels.
Each book contains a modern rendition of the fairy tale by Ernst Hoffmann in which not only the famous fight against the Mouse King is discussed, but also the legend of the Nutcracker and the journey through the realm of the Sugar Fairy. In contrast to the original libretto from 1816, this version does not take place on Christmas Eve, which means that it can always be performed by anyone.
The Nutcracker is available as a score (for teacher and conductor) but also as a separate harp part (harp 1 and 2 or harp 3 and pedal harp).
The practice tracks of The Nutcracker can be downloaded for free at harpologie.com.
