Frolic
By Meg Robinson - here is a "solo-ette" - it can be played as a harp solo, and it also has a lovely flute part to play with a friend! In a lilting 6/8 meter and in the key of Eb, it is not difficult. There are a few open 5ths, but not majorly large chords. The RH keeps moving with eighths, dotted eighths followed by 16ths, and a few quarter notes. There are no accidentals. A very uplifting melody that will be useful all year round! See the sample and hear the mp3 file (real flute and harp, not electronic).
Although not a Christmas piece - this uplifting and joyful piece would be nice for Christmas performances.
