Earth Water Wind and Fire was composed in 1992 for the revival of the 'Féile Bealtine' – the May Day Festival in the city of Derry, Northern Ireland. It was first recorded by the Belfast Harp Orchestra in 1994 on the album ‘Carillon’ (on the IHCP label) and is also on the BEST OF THE IRISH HARP ORCHESTRA (2007).
The themes of Earth Water Wind and Fire are a homage to the ancient Celtic spirits of the elements and the ‘heart-beat’ theme represents man whose life is shaped beautifully by them.
