And like any tradition worth its salt, Manx music is an ever-changing feast - new tunes and songs are written, old fragments are repaired and extended, the tension between conservatism and innovation effectively holding the tradition together. In short, a good tune is a good tune in the Isle of Man, no matter who wrote it, no matter when it was penned.
