Elegie pour la mort d'un Berger (Lament on the Death of a Shepherd) was written in honor of a shepherd friend of Bernard Andres and his wife. This melody came to him on a walk as he passed the shepherd's house; after returning from his walk, Andres found out that his friend had passed away that morning. This piece is an excellent example of Andres' ability to blend contemporary and classic harp techniques in an effortless medley that is truly enchanting. 8 pages.
