Set of 2 hardwood hammers with rietta-style handle, about 9" long. Hamer #6 has a slightly shorter striking surface that works well with the slightly narrower 1-1/16" string spacing of our traditional 5th interval models (Prelude/Apprentice, Overture, D10, D45 and PD40). One side of the head has a layer of leather which produces a lsofter, warmer tone. The other side from hardwood produces a louder, bell-like tone Suede leather produces a soft, warm tone, often used for indoor solo playing, kangaroo leather has a sound between hardwood and suede leather.
